 Each day, the ABS Directors set up the ABS table in the lobby, just outside the vendor's area in the Double tree in Novi. During the convention, ABS sold books, memberships, and provided information on the ABS and upcoming ABS activities. |
 The convention started off with Marty Schmalenberg working on a two tree arrangement using a leggy eastern white pine. |

 The tree was sparse to begin, but with Marty's abilities he planted it on a slab with a smaller second eastern white pine and a spectacular arrangement resulted. Here he is completing detailed wiring after the completion of his demonstration. |
 In Atlanta in 1999, Mr. Kimura selected a tree which Andy Smith had brought and indicated that he wished top work on it at the MABA-ABS convention in June 2000. Here are two views of the raw material which he selected. The tree is a juniper collected in the wilds of Wyoming (????) or thereabouts, and potted into a wooden box about 20 x 16 inches in size |
